Obituary
DEXTER - Guy Otis Ellms, 96, died February 1, 2016, at his home in Dexter. He was born in Dexter, March 13, 1919, the son of Ralph Otis Ellms and Grace Emma Farrar. He served in the U.S. Army in the European Campaign during WWII, and often marched in the veterans parades. He was a member of the South Sangerville Grange for 59 years and was a Past State Deputy. Guy was known for the toys and puzzles that he made that pleased so many people. He worked for the Maine Central Railroad, Fay & Scott, and retired from the Dexter School System. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Nancy (Hayes) Ellms of Dexter; 2 daughters, Betsy Burpee of North Anson, and Linda (Paul) Muzereus of Chicago, IL; 5 grandchildren, Michael (Kathy) Ward of Waldoboro, Brian Ward of Hancock, Peter, Mary and John Muzereus of Chicago, IL; a great granddaughter; cousins; nieces; and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Almond, Ralph and Earle Ellms. Friends called at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main Street in Dexter, Tuesday, February 9, 2016. Spring burial will be in the Mt.
