Obituary	DEXTER - Howard "Buddy" Davis Jr., 72, died May 29, 2015, at Mayo Regional Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft. He was born in Dexter, December 14, 1942, the son of Howard and Avis (Titcomb) Davis Sr. He attended Dexter schools, and served in the US Army Reserves, 948 Transportation Company, attaining the rank of Staff Sgt. Buddy owned and operated a transportation business in the Dexter area for many years. He also enjoyed the car lot, the auctions, and taking kids to his camp on Ripley pond on hot summer days. Buddy also worked at the jail in Skowhegan and was a great help to many. He was a Cub Scout Den Leader for several years. He was predeceased by his wife, Claudia (Gustin) Davis in 1997. He is survived by 4 sons, Todd Davis, and his wife, Randi, of Garland; Stewart Davis, and his wife, Nancy; Alan Ellis Jr. and his wife, Karen; and Kevin Davis and his special friend, Julie McGlinchey all of Dexter; a brother and his wife, Paul and Patricia Davis of Sangerville; several grandchildren; a niece and a nephew. Funeral services were held. June 2nd, at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 61 Main Street in Dexter, with Pastor David Homchuck officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter.
