FRED L. TIBBETTS Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Dexter Methodist Church for Fred L. Tibbetts, 80, who died suddenly Saturday morning. The Rev. Howard E. Benson officiated. Remains were placed in the tomb and burial will take place later at Mt. Pleasant cemetery. He was born in Levant, Feb. 9, 1876, son of Leonard and Georgia Hanson Tibbetts. For many years he was a dairy farmer in Ripley. He then moved to Dexter where he continued in that work and operated a milk route. He was a past master of Ripley Grange and a Golden Sheaf member of Dexter Grange. He is survived by his wife, Maude Curtis Tibbetts; a son, Lawrence of Dexter; a brother, William of California; a sister, Mrs. Ina Leavitt of Hartford, Conn., two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
