Obituary	DEXTER - Barbara Jean (Hopkins) O Brien, 74, died February 18, 2013 at a Bangor hospital. She was born January 13, 1939 in Danvers, MA a daughter of Thomas and Helen (Shirey) Hopkins, Sr. She graduated from Holten Richmond High School in Danvers. Her family moved to Maine in 1972. Barb and her husband Wally bought and operated Main Street Pizza until Wallys health forced them to sell the business. Barb then worked at Abbot Wool¬en Mill full time and part time at Renys Department Store. When the mill closed she worked full time at Renys, becoming manager in 1990 where she remained in that position until her retirement in 2005. She was a thoughtful generous woman supporting the Toys for Tots program, the Wild West weekend and other Dexter activities. She was a member of the Dexter Regional Development Corporation. She could be depended upon to help out whenever and however she can. She enjoyed word find games, country music, bird watching, Western movies, and spending time with her family, especially the annual O Brien family party. She is survived by 2 sons, Charles and fiancé Terry, and Timothy and wife Tracey, all of Dexter; 2 daughters, Jean and husband Joel Corkran of Dexter and Martha and husband Steve Richards of Shrews¬bury, MA; 6 grandchildren, April, Andy, John and Wendy O Brien, Shaun and Megan Corkran; 3 great grandchildren, Kayleigh O Brien, Isabella and Bentley Richards; nephews Robert, Paul and Rick Daigle; and special friends, Tim and Cathie Giles. She was predeceased by her husband and a grandson, Robbie. Services were held February 26 at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main Street, Dexter, with the Rev. Will Walters officiating.
