Obituary	David Thompson, 72, passed away Saturday, May 22, after several years of ill health. He was born in Athens, and has lived in Ripley for the past 10 years. He is survived by his wife, Alta; one daughter, Violet Sinclair, of Ripley; two grandchildren, Vernal Sinclair of Ripley and Luie Sinclair of Carmel, and several great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Ripley church on Tuesday with the Rev. Dearborn of Carmel officiating. Burial was in Athens.
