Obituary
Funeral services for Willard W. Gerry were held Friday afternoon at two oclock at the funeral parlors of Elwin B. Crosby, the Rev. Frederick Niles of the Methodist church officiating. A masonic service was held. Mr. Gerry died Tuesday at the home of his niece, Mrs. Raymond Farrar, in Ripley, following a period of failing health. He was born 89 years ago in Dover-Foxcroft, were he had spent most of his life. He was the son of Harriett ad John Gerry. He was a member of the Masonic fraternity for 56 years of Dover-Foxcroft, and a member of the East Sangerville grange. He is survived by a brother, Gerald, of Ripley; three nephews, George and Orman of Dexter, and Emery of Newport tow nieces, Mrs. Raymond Farrar of Ripley, and Mrs. Eugene Starbird. Among the out-of-town people attending the services were Mrs. Eva Powers, Mr. and Mrs. Al Chandler of Bangor, Mrs. Elmer Barker, and Mrs. Nat Fickett of Dover-Foxcroft; Mr. and Mrs. Chester Farrar, Mrs. Fred Butler of Ripley.
