Obituary	Mrs. Lucy Bowdoin, wife of H.N. Bowdoin, passed away at her home Sunday morning, April 8, after an illness of several months. Mrs. Bowdoin was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elias Richmond Merrill of Dexter and was 68 years old March 8. Mr. and Mrs. Bowdoin were married 46 years ago and have always made their home in this town. Only one child as born of this union, Harold, and he only lived to be 9 years of age. Since his death they have devoted themselves to each other and her loss is a great bow to the husband, especially as e has no near relative of his own. The deceased leaves besides her husband, a brother, Chas. Merrill and several nephews in Dexter. Funeral services were conducted from the M.E. church Tuesday afternoon by Rev. E. Mercer. Many friends gathered to pay their tribute to one who has always been kind and neighborly and who will be sadly missed in the community. Many beautiful floral tributes covered the casket, silent messengers of love and esteem. The body was placed in the tomb in Dexter to await burial.
