Obituary
Funeral services for the late Mrs. Etta Willard were held from her late home Saturday, Sept. 26th at 1p.m. arrangements in charge of Ramsay & Gates, Dexter, while our pastor, Mr. Straight, spoke words of comfort to the sorrowing relative and friends. Mrs. Willard was born in May 1860, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Brailey. She was married about fifty-six years ago to George Willard, who passed away two years ago. She had been poorly for several months, suffering heart trouble and dropsy, and had been confined to her bed for about five weeks, during which time she had been faithfully and tenderly cared for by her son and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Willard, who shared her home, and her adopted daughter, Mrs. Hazel Grover, of Dexter, until her passing Wednesday evening, Sept. 23rd Besides her children and grandchildren, she leaves a half sister, Mrs. George Emery, of St. Albans; two half brother, Frank Brailey, of Veazie and David Brailey, of Augusta, besides many more distant relatives and friends, who sincerely mourn the passing of one ever ready to do a kindly deed or speak a helpful word whenever the opportunity afforded. "None knew her but to love her, none named her but to praise."
