Obituary	The community mourns the loss of one of its highly respected citizens, R.W. Felker, who passed away at his home Wednesday, Dec. 10th. He has been confined to his bed for several months, having suffered a series of shocks and has been tenderly cared for by his wife and children, a patient sufferer, making as little care as possible, becoming unconscious Thursday, Dec.3rd, and apparently without pain, he gently passed away. None knew him but to love him, none knew him but to praise. Funeral services were held at the M.E. church Friday afternoon, Rev. Arthur J. Hamilton officiating. Mrs. Agnes Richardson of Dexter sang "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere." The mason attended in a body. The church was filled with relatives and friends, and the many beautiful flowers bore silent testimony of the esteem in which the deceased was held, and brought comfort to his loved ones.
