Obituary
Funeral services for the late Mrs. Annette Sevey, widow of the late Leroy A. Sevey, were held Monday afternoon at 1:30 from the home of her son, Ernest Sevey, in Ripley, where she passed away Friday, after an illness of a little more than a week. She was 81 years of age and has been in failing health several years, although able to walk out of doors until she suffered a slight shock about ten days ago. During the past winter she has been tenderly cared for at the home of her daughter Mrs. Willis C. Percival, on Maple street, and had only gone to her sons home for a short visit when she intended to return to this town for the summer. Mrs. Sevey was born in Ripley and has lived there for the larger part of her life. For 40 years she has been a faithful member of Christian Union church of that place and interment was in the Ferndale cemetery. The bearers were four of her grandsons, and the service was conducted by Rev. Tracy M. Pullman of the First Universalist church of this town. The deceased is survived by one sister, Mrs. Clara Newell, of Lisbon by a son, Ernest Sevey, of Ripley and one daughter Mrs. W. C. Percival, of this town; also by a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a woman who will be sadly missed by her relatives and many friends in this vicinity.
