Obituary	John R. Litchfield, known to everyone as "Jack", passed away at his home June 25th, having been in failing health for a long time. As store-keeper, postmaster, justice of the peace and treasure of the telephone company, e served the community well, and is greatly missed by a host of friends in this and surrounding towns. Funeral services were held at the church June 28th, at 10 oclock, Rev. W.H. Dunham speaking words of comfort, and the Masonic funeral service being used. The remains were taken to Forest Grove cemetery, Augusta. The floral tributes were many and beautiful. Besides his wife and son, he leaves several brothers and sisters.
