Obituary	The funeral of Mrs. Caroline A. Davis, wife of Joseph C. Davis, was held at 10 oclock Saturday from her late home at Ripley Mills, and was attended by a large number of relative, neighbors and friends. Rev. T.E. Ham conducted the services and appropriate selections were given by Mr. and Mrs. Stafford. The floral offerings were beautiful . Among the collection was a large pillow with the word, Mother, and a lovely wreath with Sister. Mrs. Davis was born in Norridgewock and was 78 years and 7 months old. She is survived by a husband, Joseph C. Davis, a daughter, Mrs. Annie C. Bushnell, of Jackson, Minn,. a son, William H. Davis, of Augusta and a brother, George A. Farrar, of West Ripley. Her life was characterized by many beautiful qualities, a kind and loving wife and mother, a woman of the highest ideals whose life as filled with kindly acts. The bearers were Hiram Bane, Lincoln Felker and John Jones, and the interment was made in the family lot in the West Ripley cemetery.
