Obituary	Mrs. Amanda, wife of William Bowdoin, died at her home Jan.17 after an illness of several years, aged 68 years. She was born and always lived in Ripley, and was the daughter of Aaron and Hannah (Brown) Prescott. She leaves besides her husband, one son, H.N. Bowdoin, of Ripley and one grandson and Clifton Bowdoin, of Dexter. Two sons and a grandson and granddaughter passed on before her. Two brothers survive her, Noah Prescott of Ripley and Roscoe Prescott of Missouri. A large circle of relatives and friends are left to mourn her loss, who have the sincere sympathy of all in their bereavement. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church, Sunday afternoon. Rev. J.A. Corey spoke words of comfort to the bereaved ones. There were many beautiful floral tributes. The interment was in the family lot in the cemetery below the Mills.
