Obituary	The community was shocked Friday morning to hear of the sudden death of Mr. Abner Strout. He had been in his usual health the day before. He was taken suddenly ill in the morning and died before medical help could be procured. His age was 69 years. Mr. Strout went to California in 1861k remaining several years. He has lived in Ripley more than thirty years. He leaves one son, Leslie of Ripley and two daughters, Mrs. Rose Nutter and Mrs. Nellie Weymouth of Dexter, also several grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. H.B. Haskell of Dexter.
