Obituary	DR. PETER WILLIAM HESS Private funeral services were held at the residence in Sangerville Monday morning for Dr. Peter W. Hess, 80, who died Saturday morning at the hospital after a long illness. The Rev. Herbert S. Craig of Portland, Arch-Deaeon of the Episcopal Diocese, officiated. The remains were taken to Auburn for cremation and the ashes were interred in the Sangerville cemetery. Dr. Hess was born in Newark, N. J., April 20, 1876. A resident if this community for some 15 years, he conducted a practice at Pawtucket, R. I., at one time and was a veteran of World War I. He is survived by his wife, Aline Dewitt Hess Sangerville and two nieces in California.
