Simon Parker Simon Parker of North St. Albans died of heart failure Wednesday, December 5, while loading wood in the woods. He has not been in the best of health for some time although very smart for one of his age, 77 years, but his death came very suddenly to a large circle of friends. Mr. Parker was born in North St. Albans and has always lived there and in Ripley. He enlisted when a young man and served in the army until se¬verely wounded and discharged. He was a member of the G. A. R., George Gordon Post of St. Albans. He was a member of Ripley grange. He was also superintendent of the Christian Sunday school for many years where all loved and respected "uncle Sime." .Funeral services were held at his late home Saturday conducted by Rev. R. L. Olds of Dexter. The interment was in the family lot in the North St. Albans cemetery. The Floral tributes were many and beautiful. Those present from out of town were Albert and Charles Parker of Lexington, Francis Parker of Skowhegan, Charles Greeley of Willimantic, Mrs. Martha Frost and Mrs. Alton Puffer of Dexter.
