Mrs. Angie Nutter Angie, wife of John Nutter, died October 2, at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Mattie Huff of Wellington. While on her way to Harmony fair, where she expected to meet friends, she suffered a shock Wednesday morning, Sept. 26, and after six days of intense suffering, during which time ail was done for her that could be done, she passed away. Mrs. Nutter was born in Harmony in March 1844 the daughter of Thomas and Mariam Farrar. In early life she was united in marriage with Elliot Smith. For some years they made their home in Cambridge, later coming to Ripley. To them five children were born, three of whom died in childhood, Nellie, wife of Ethan Smith, who died several years ago, and Clarence Smith of Bowdoinham. Mr. Smith died in Ripley a number of years ago. Six years ago she married John Nutter of North Ripley. She has been a member of the Methodist church in Dexter for many years. She was also a member of the Neighborhood Club, where she will be greatly missed. Funeral ser¬vices were held at the Peoples Methodist church, October 3, Rev. A. B. McAlister officiating. The interment was in the family lot in Ferndale cemetery. There were many floral tributes, showing the love and respect of her many friends. She leaves besides her aged husband, one son, Clarence Smith of Bowdoinham, three sisters, Mrs. Amanda Seekins of Pittsfield, Mrs. Alice Young of Parkman and Miss Stella Farrar of Boston and one brother, Walter Farrar of Monson, five grandchildren, Mrs. Mattie Huff of Wellington, Mrs. Bessie Libby of Newport, Elmer Smith, who is in the service of his country, Errol Smith and Norris…
