Obituary	Mrs. Melvina Jewett passed away Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Pearl in Dexter. Mrs. Jewett was a resident of Ripley for many years, where she has many friends who will sadly miss aunt Melvina. Her age was 79 years. She leaves three sons and three daughters, Edgar Jewett of Wilton, Dell of Skowhegan, Irving of Waterville, Mrs. Lydia Pearl of Dexter with whom she lived, Mrs. Vesta Sherman of Damariscotta, Mrs. Nora Dunbar of Old Town. Funeral services were held at the Grange hall Tuesday, Rev. Stanley Gates Spear officiating. The interment was in the family lot in Fern Dale cemetery.
