Obituary
Mr. John Bowdoin Mr. John Bowdoin passed away Wednesday, June 2, aged 80 years. He was a life long resident of Ripley, a man highly respected. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church for fifty years, he also, was a member of the Grange. In early life he was united in marriage with Miss Julia Farrar of Harmony. To them were born three children, Eugene, Millie and Herbert, all of whom died in early life. Mrs. Bowdoin passed away in 1909 and in 1910 Mr. Bowdoin married Mrs. Annie Churchill, who survives him, he also leaves to mourn his loss, one sister, Mrs. Susan Lord of Winthrop and two brothers, Green wood and Michael Bowdoin of Ripley. Funeral services were held at his late home Friday, Rev. Stanley Gates Spear officiating. the interment was in the family lot in the Ferndale cemetery. There were many beautiful floral offerings. The grange attended in a body.
