Obituary	Died, Saturday, June 24, Charles A. Downing. Mr. Downing has been in failing health for several months and his death was not unexpected. He was a man of sterling integrity, highly respected by all, and had held offices of trust in town affairs. In early life he was united in marriage to Miss Augusta Ricker who passed away nearly thirty years ago. To them were born three sons and two daughters, Herbert P., Roscoe M. and Mrs. Ernest Farrar of Dexter, Mrs. Bert Folsom of Harmony, and Charles S. Downing of Ripley. The family have the sympathy of many friends and neighbors, who feel that a good citizen who will be missed has left us. Funeral services were held at his late home, Rev. A. B. McAlister officiating. The interment was in the family lot near the home. There were many beautiful floral tributes.
