Obituary	Died in St. Albans, March 6, Mrs. Lizzie Rand Stone. The deceased was born in St. Albans, June, 1849. In early childhood her parents removed to Ripley, where she spent her girlhood. She married Jesse M. Stone of that town who survives her. The deceased was a woman greatly beloved by her many friends, for all who came in contact with her loved and respected her, and her wide sphere of usefulness as a nurse carried her into the homes of many. Early in life she became a Christian and always lived a consistent Christian life. She as a beloved member of the W.R.C., the W.C.T.U., the church aid society and the Grange, and had filled positions of honor in these various bodies, and was a regular attendant as long as health permitted. For two years she has suffered from an incurable heart trouble. All that skill and care could do only served for her comfort. Mrs. Stone leaves to mourn their loss, besides the husband, two sons, Elmer J. of Providence, R.I., Will C. of Boston, and one daughter, Mrs. Lizzie Cole, who tenderly cared for her to the last, also three, Mrs. Ann Puffer of Dexter, Mrs. Hattie Grant and Mrs. Sarah Boynton of Ripley, all of whom have been privileged to be with her to assist in caring for her for the last few weeks, and one brother, John Rand of Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She often said," Wouldnt is be nice to go to sleep and awake in Glory!" Services were held Tuesday at the home of Rev. Frank Brooks, who was a frequent and welcome guest in their home. The funeral was in charge of A.R. Burton on Hartland. The bearers were Lincoln Merrick, Charles Webb George Merrill and Albert Hurd. The floral pieces were many and beautiful. The remains were placed in a receiving tomb in Hartland.
