Obituary	Jeremiah D. Lane, a respected citizen of Ripley, passed from this world of suffering into the Great Beyond Friday afternoon, Sept. 3. He suffered a shock last fall but recovered and has been able to work much of the time. He appeared to be as well as usual Friday forenoon until about eleven oclock he came into the house and complained of feeling ill and requested his brother to help him to bed, where he lost consciousness and passed away soon after noon. He will be greatly missed by his sister, Melvina ith whom he lived on the old home place and by his brother, Reuben, and family who live in the same house, as well as by the entire neighborhood for he was kindly and genial to all. He leaves one brother, John H. Lane, of Ripley. Rev. S. G. Spear of Dexter spoke words of comfort Sunday after noon. Mr. Lane was fifty nine years of age.
