Obituary	After months of suffering, Mrs. Sylvia Goodwin passed peacefully away Wednesday morning, Aug. 28, aged 79 years. She was the daughter of Hiram and Martha Sampson was born and always lived in Ripley. She is survived by two sons and one daughter, Edward E. Skillings and Calvin Goodwill who cared for her In her declining years; Mrs. Mabel Stafford; also two brothers, Wesley Sampson and George Sampson, all of Ripley. She will be sadly missed by a large circle of friends. Funeral services were held Friday at the Methodist church, Rev. R. L. Olds of Dexter officiating. The floral tributes were many and beautiful. The interment was in the family lot in the Downing cemetery.
