Obituary	ELMER L. WHITNEY Elmer Leroy Whitney, 85, died at his home in Corinna Tuesday after a period of failing health. He was born at Dexter December 19, 1876, the son of Edgar L. and Alice (Crockett) Whitney. Mr. Whitney attended Dexter schools and was employed until his retirement as a spinner in Dexter and Corinna woolen mills. Survivors include one daughter, Miss Montez Whitney of Corinna; one brother, Oral Whitney of Middleboro, Mass.; two nieces and one cousin.
