Obituary
AUGUSTA — Robert Jacques, 58, of 13 Franklin Street, died early Friday morning at his home after a long illness. He was born at Dexter September 15, 1906, son of Joseph and Florida (Poulin) Jacques. He was employed by the Bates Manufacturing Company, Edwards Division, as a slasher tender until retirement about a year ago. He was a communicant of St. Augustine Catholic Church, a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, and the Cardinal Mercier Council, Knights of Columbus of Dexter. Surviving are his widow, Alice Quirion) Jacques of here; a son, Roger of here; a daughter, Doris of here; a brother, Maxine Jacques of Augusta; a sister, Mrs. Nora Cousins of Dexter; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at the Plummer Funeral Home, Inc., 60 Pleasant Street, Augusta. A High Mass of Requiem will be sung Monday at 9 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Burial will be in the family lot in the spring. Members of the Knights of Columbus will meet at the Plummer Funeral Home to recite the Rosary at 7 p.m. Sunday.
