Obituary
VERNON M. WENTWORTH Funeral services were held last Thursday afternoon at the home in Hermon for Vernon M. Wentworth, 49, who died March 29 in a Bangor hospital after a short illness. The Rev. Walter Cook officiated. The body was brought to Dexter and placed in the receiving tomb to await spring burial. Mr. Wentworth was born in Dexter, April 6, 1906, and received his education in the local schools. For the past 13 years he had been employed by the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad. A veteran of the U. S. Army, he served six years while stationed at Ft. McKinley. He is survived by his wife, Helen, of Hermon; one son, Vernon M., Jr., of Princeton; two daughters, Mrs. Carl Perkins, Cooper, and Miss Letha Ann Wentworth, Hermon; one sister, Mrs. Thelma W. Ingraham of Bangor and three grandchildren.
