Obituary	JOEL PATRICK CORKRAN DEXTER - Joel Patrick Corkran, 57, died April 8, 2014 at his residence. He was born Feb. 23, 1957 in Uxbridge, MA, a son of Donald and Thecla (Patrick) Corkran. He graduated from UxBridge High School, Class of 1975. He was a machinist by trade and had most recently worked at McKenney Machine Shop in Corinna. He loved to fly and was well known around the Pittsfield Municipal Airport. He was an avid golfer, especially at the Dexter Municipal Golf Course. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor. Joel was a great husband and dad. He is survived by his mother of Palmyra; his wife, Jean (O’Brien) Corkran; a daughter, Megan and husband, Jason Kuntz; and a son, Shaun, all of Dexter; 2 brothers, Donald and wife, Celeste of Palmyra, Kim and wife, Janice Corkran of Burnham; 4 sisters, Sharon and husband, Jim Fior, and Anita Gordon, all of Palmyra, Julie and husband, Doug McKinnon, and Joyce and husband, Terry Feen, all of Uxbridge, MA; many nieces and nephews. The family would also like to especially thank their friends at McKenney Machine Shop, who have been very supportive . A memorial gathering will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 17th at the Dexter Town Hall. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter.
