Obituary	EDWARD G. BUXTON Dexter friends were saddened to learn of the death Dec. 20 of Edward G. Buxton, longtime teacher Wassookeag School. For many years he has served The Gunnery School in Washington in “every conceivable capacity from teacher of Latin, baseball coach to counselor and dean” A memorial Scholarship Fund is being set up for worthy students. One of the many tributes in a Washington paper to “Bucky”, as he was known here and at The Gunnery, says in part, “Principles meant a lot to Bucky. They were his guidepost, as firm as the rocks of his native Maine. And his living of these principles was a strong example to his colleagues and pupils. He never preached; he taught by example.” He is survived by his wife Charlotte and a married daughter.
