FRANCIS D. WIMPLE DEXTER — Francis Douglas Wimple, 38, husband of Cecilia (Green) Wimple, died suddenly here early Monday morning. He was born here February 18, 1927, the son of Charles and Marion (Clukey) Wimple. He was educated in local schools and served for 19 months with the U. S. Army in World War H, eight months of which was overseas. He was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, a fourth degree member of Cardinal Mercier Council, Knights of Columbus, and a member 01. Poulliot-Seavey Post, American Legion, He had been associated as an oil burner service man for R. C. Whitney and Son, Dexter, for the past 14 years. Surviving are his widow; a son, Stephen Douglas, 10; his mother, all of Dexter; six brothers, Victor of Bangor, Kenneth of Charleston, James, Frederick, Robert and Roger, all of Dexter; four sisters, Mrs. Bernice Chambers of Dover-Foxcroft, Mrs. Evelyn Walker of Bangor, Mrs. Madelyn Bush of Dexter, Mrs. Rebecca Park- man of West Covina, Calif. several aunts uncles, niece, and nephews. Friends may ca at (Tie Crosby Funeral Home. Third degree members of the Knights of Columbus will say the Rosary at 7 p.m. Tuesday, and fourth degree members will do the same at 9 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, with the Rev. Gaston Auger officiating. Military services will be held by the American Legion at the graveside at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
