Daniel Collins Daniel Collins, one of Dexter highly regarded citizens died at his home on the Old Newport road after a few days’ illness of pneumonia. He was born in North Cornville, Maine, May 10, 1882, the son of the late Daniel A. and Susan Hodgdon Collins. For the past fifteen years has resided in Dexter, and for the past three years he served the town as a valued and efficient road commissioner. Mr. Collins was a man of fine character, a devoted husband and brother, a genial friend to all, who will long be remembered by a host of friends. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Dora Leavitt, of Dexter, and three sisters, Mrs. Mary C. Hirst, Miss Rose Collins both of North Cornville, Maine; Mrs. Alta Chase and four nieces, the Misses Alice, Dorothy, Phyllis and Freda Chase, all of Solon, Maine, an aged aunt, Mrs. Lucy H. Copp of Lakeport N. H., and three cousins, Mrs. Florence Gibson of New Jersey; Mrs. Bernice H. Malete of Lakeport, N. H.; and Mrs. Emma C. Wright of Madison, Maine.
