Mrs. Avis Kimball Mrs. Avis Kimball, 73, widow of the late Jesse Kimball, passed away this morning, Thursday, at her home on Forest Street, after a long illness. She was born in Garland, the daughter of Francis M. and Nacy Etta Cole Skillings. The greater part of her life has been spent in Dexter where she leaves many friends who will long remember her for her kindly service to others, her pleasing personality, and splendid character. For many years she was an active and devoted member of the First Baptist church and teacher in the Sunday school. She was also a member of Wassookeag chapter, O. E. S. and of the Daughters of Veterans. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Etta Varnam of Greene, Mrs. Ethel Marshell of Auburn and a half sister, Mrs. Myrtle Henley of South Paris, besides several nephews and grand nephews. Funeral services will be held from the home Sunday afternoon at 1:30, the Rev. Ondon P. Stairs officiating.
