Obituary
DAWN WINTLE DEXTER- After a long struggle with illness, Dawn Wintle slipped quietly away in her sleep to be forever with her Lord, June 15, 2012. Dawn will be remembered best decked out along with her Country Charm Girls, in cherry, checkered aprons, hosting the Country Charm Store in Dexter. An easy smile and a warm heart were Dawn’s hallmarks as she greeted her customers in the little craft shop. Dawn added a lot to the community operating the little shop for 10 years in 3 different locations along Main Street. Folks will recall Dawn’s gift for décor and how she always presented her guests with simple, tasteful, handpicked, elegant knick knacks and decorations, along with her own homespun country charm. Often times her shoppers left her store with more than the perfect gift. They often left her store with lighter hearts and lifted spirits. Those who knew Dawn knew how she touched the hearts of everyone that she shared her life and store with. Dawn leaves a loving husband, Alan Wintle of Dexter, along with a daughter, Tiffany Wintle of Denver, CO. Dawn was predeceased by her father, Harold and mother, Claire Emerson of Savannah, GA. Dawn’s immediate family includes 4 brothers, Drew, Mark, and Todd Emerson of Savannah, GA, and Craig Emerson of Hawaii; a special sister, Shawn Emerson of Savannah, GA; Dawn’s in-laws include, Marilyn Wintle of Sangerville, Bev and Greg Jordan of Sangerville, Carol and Lionel Getchell Jr. of Ripley, Donna and Duane Olsen of Harmony, Ella and Rick Munday of Dexter, Fred and Joan Wintle of Garland; and several loved nieces and nephews that were a great part of her life. Friends are invited to visit with the family Tuesday, June 19, 2012, from 5 to 8 PM, at 145 Cambridge Road in Dexter. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Womancare, P.O. Box 192, 8 Mechanic Street, Dover-Foxcroft, ME 04426.
