Obituary	EUGENE FRENCH Funeral services were he1d Tuesday afternoon at the Garland Church for Eugene French, 85, who died Sunday after a short illness at the home of his son, Harold French, in Dexter, where he had made his home for a year. The Rev. Hartwell Daley of the Methodist Church officiated. The remains were placed in the receiving tomb at Mt. Pleasant cemetery and burial will take place in Evergreen cemetery at Garland this spring. Mr. French was born in Garland, Nov. 18, 1869, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eben French. He spent the greater part of his life in that town engaged in farming. There are three sons surviving, Harold and Herbert of Dexter, Orman of Woodville; one daughter, Mrs. Doris Green of Garland; 20 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
