ROGER FLOYD VIGUE DEXTER- Roger Floyd Vigue, 81, died Sunday, July 19, 2009, at Pleasant Meadows Manor in Dover-Foxcroft. He was born in Dexter, April 7, 1928, the son of Rudolph and Antoinette (LaRochelle) Vigue. He attended Dexter schools and served in the U.S. Army Occupational Forces in Japan after World War II. On February 21, 1948, he married Elinor Thompson from Brewer. A taxi-cab driver for many years, he worked at Dexter Shoe prior to retiring in 1993. As an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a passionate Red Sox fan. He was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus in Dexter. Roger is survived by his wife of 61 years; two sons and their wives, Douglas and Donna Vigue of Dexter and Gregory and Boon Vigue of Jacksonville, Alabama; a brother, Gerald Vigue of Windham; six grandchildren, Stephanie (Vigue) Clark of South China, Stacey (Vigue) Haskell of Hampden, Eric Vigue of Winslow, Sappom (Vigue) Sawatpong of Thailand, and Susan and Debbie Vigue of Maryland; two step- grandchildren, Steven Pratt, Jr., of Pennsylvania and Mandi PrattChapman of Virginia; two great grandchildren, Emma Haskell and Aiden Clark; three great step-grandchildren, Marissa Pratt, Marie Chapman, and Iris Chapman; and dear friend Jane Call of Exeter. He was pre-deceased by his son Dennis; his parents; and another brother, Lawrence. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Dexter at 9:00 A.M. on Friday, July 24. Cards may be sent to Elinor Vigue, Room 41, do Hibbard Nursing Home, P.O.
