Obituary	HENRY F. DERRY 1847 - 1887 Born in Hermon. Maine, in 1847 and residing there until early manhood. He then worked in Bangor in varying lines but at about twenty-five opened a General retail store in Ripley which he continued until entering business in Dexter with Hiram Bassett which continued until his death. He was for some years Town Treasurer and also connected with the First National Bank as Director. He enlisted in, the Civil War at an early age but so near its close that he was not called to the front. In religion he was a Universalist and a faithful worker. He married Nancy Ellen Bassett in 1878. He died in 1887. November 12, 1934. By Harry C. Bassett.
