Obituary
LILLIAN E. BRAGG DEXTER- Lillian E. Bragg, 84, died December 18, 2009, at the Hibbard Nursing Home in Dover-Foxcroft. She was born July 18, 1925, in Fairfield Center, daughter of David and Ida (Powell) Knox. As a young woman, she moved to Dexter, where she met and married Louis E. Tremblay Sr. Lillian was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dexter, and was a former member of the Grange and Order of the Eastern Star. After raising her children, she was employed at Dexter Shoe Company for 10 years. Lillian was known as “Nannie” to many. She was a thoughtful and generous person. One of her favorite past times was knitting and crocheting items for her family, and for those less fortunate. Narmie truly enjoyed life to its fullest. She was always ready for a good adventure. At a moment’s notice she would pack up and be out the door for a camping trip, an afternoon of berry picking, fiddle heading, or a good fishing expedition. Lillian’s family was her top priority in life. She played a big role in the lives of her children and grandchildren, with whom she spent countless hours. She was predeceased by her first husband, Louis E. Tremblay Sr., and her second husband, Herman Bragg. She is survived by a daughter and her husband, Sandra and Robert Robinson of Sangerville; and a son and his wife, Louis and Donna Tremblay Jr. of Cambridge; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 10 great great grandchildren. A graveside memorial service will be held in the spring at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter. In keeping with Nannie’s generous spirit, her family requests that any donations be made in her memory to the Dexter Food Pantry, 130 Spring Street, Dexter, ME 04930. Arrangements by Crosby & Neal, Dexter. For an online guest register, go to www.CrosbyNeal.com.
