Obituary
MARION L. SINCLAIR CORINNA & DEXTER - Marion Louise (Wilber) Sinclair, 87, the wife of the late LaForest B. Sinclair, died, peacefully at the Dexter Health Care Facility Feb. 21, 2014 following a very brief illness and with family by her side. She was born June 29, 1926 in Nashua, NH, the daughter of Percy B. and Eva D. (Jameson) Wilber. She graduated from MCI in Pittsfield, class of 1944 and then worked at Eastland Woolen Mill in Corinna as a Weave Room Clerk, retiring in 1988. She and LaPorest Sinclair were married Sept. 13, 1961. She was a former member of the Victoria Rebekah Lodge # in Newport and the American Legion Auxillary. She had worked as a volunteer at the Methodist Church Food Pantry for many years. Marion had been a longtime resident of Corinna. Because of health reasons, she moved to Dexter Health Care two and one half years ago. Marion loved roses, lobster rolls, playing Bingo, animals (stuffed and real), and her many friends and family. The family sends special thanks to the Health Care nurses and staff for the excellent care and love provided to make Marion feel at home. She is survived by a brother, Harold Wilber of Pittsfield; her girls, Carleen Harriman and Loretta Martin; a “granddaughter”, Erica Henderson; a special cousin Nellie Soloniewicz; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends, Bonme and Morris Holbrook. Marion was predeceased by her parents, her husband , her sister Betty Palmer and brothers, Carl and David Wilber. Friends may call 1 PM Saturday, Mar. 1, 2014 at the Corinna United Methodist Church where funeral services will be held at 2 PM with Rev. Terry McKinley officiating. Family and friends are invited to a time of fellowship and light refreshment at the Church following the service.
