PATRICK LAFERRIERE DEXTER – Patrick Laferriere, 74, died March 22, 2009 at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. He was born September 9, 1934 at Plaisted (Eagle Lake), a son of Leon and Eva (Paradis) Laferriere. He served in the U. S. Army and was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Patrick owned and operated marinas in Michigan and Florida before retirement, when he returned to Maine. He was predeceased by his first wife Joyce , and by his second wife, Gerry; as well as brothers Lionel, Lucien, Norman and Orel. He is survived by a son Patrick, Jr. and wife Tammy of Orange Park, FL; a daughter, Julie and husband Jim Barron of Desoto, Texas; his siblings, Reggie and wife Beatrice of Dewitt, MI, Juliette and husband Harry Stathoplos of Wells, Annette Jackson of Merritt Island, FL, Roy and wife Barbara and James and wife Betty, all of Dexter, Joel and wife Sandra of Windham; and a grand daughter, Hollie. There will be no visiting hours. A memorial mass will be held 11 AM Friday, March 27th, at St. Anne’s Church, Dexter, with Reverend Father Mark Nolette officiating. Spring interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Wallagrass. Memorial donations may be made to the Dexter Health Care Patient Activity Fund, 64 Park Street, Dexter, ME 04930.
