Obituary	AMOS AMBROSE Funeral services were held Monday morning at St. Anne's Catholic Church for Amos Ambrose, 87, who died Thursday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Reginald Gilbert, after a long illness. The remains were placed in the receiving tomb at Mt. Pleasant cemetery to await spring burial. The bearers were grandsons, Ernest LaPlante, Reginald LaPlante, Arthur Bailey, Douglas Gilbert, Archie Ruel and Roger Gilbert. He was born at Isle Verte, Canada, December 21, 1867, son of Narcisse and Ellen (Doisine) Ambrose. He had lived here for 70 years. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Georgie Pyer, Lewiston, Mrs. Sadie Ruel, Mrs. Napoleon LaPlante, Frankln, N. H., Mrs. Reginald Gilbert and Mrs. Felix Bailey of Dexter; one son, Ovella of Dexter; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
