Obituary	JANE (WHITTIER) HOPPE DEXTER—Jane (Whittier) Hoppe, 83, peacefully passed away on August 30, 2011 in the comfort of her home. She was born July 10, 1928 in Old Town, a daughter of Raleigh and Jessie (Spaulding) Whittier, Sr. . On April 30, 1950, Jane married the love of her life and best friend, Robert J. Hoppe. They celebrated 61 years of marriage together and raised two sons. Jane and Bob loved to collect antiques, garden, and gather with friends and family. Her greatest joy was watching her grandchildren grow into fine young adults. In addition to her husband, she is survived by 2 sons, Robert W. Hoppe and wife Kris of St. Johnsbury, VT and Jeffrey of Sommerville, SC; 4 grandchildren, Zachary, Charlotte, Emma, and Jeffrey. She was predeceased by a brother, Raleigh, Jr.; and a sister Priscilla. There will be no services at this time. In lieu of flowers, please remember Jane by giving to the organization of your choice or simply plant a beautiful flowering plant and remember Jane’s beautiful face.
