Guy Gordon Memorial serviceS for the late Guy Gordon were held on Monday afternoon at the First Universalist church, the pastor, Rev. Stanley Gates Spear, officiating. Many friends assembled to pay their final tribute of respect and esteem and at the conclusion of the church service, the Knights of Pythias assumed charge, Mr. Gordon having been a member of that order during his sojourn in Lynchburg, Va. • Guy Gordon was born in Dexter, and had he lived until January 19, 1917 would have been thirty years of age. Ne was a young man of exem. plary habits, kindly hearted, thoughtful of the members øf his family and of his friends. He left Dexter a few years ago, going to California, later moving to Lynchburg, Va., where he I became a valued employe in one of the larg garages of that city. He whi compelled to return to Dexter, owing to 111 health, and for the past two years has made a brave fight for life, with the odds overwhelmingly tagainst him, in as much as he was a sufferer from asthma and from tuberculosis. Mr. Gordon leaves a fathers Frank Gordon of Guilford, N. Y.; a mother, who resides in Dexter; two brothers, • Ralph of Utica, N. Y.; Carl of Dexter; two sisters, Miss Eva Gordon of Dexter and Mrs. Roy D. Farqnhar of Lomita, California, who have the sympathy of the community in this flor row.
