Obituary
ELMER A. BREWSTER 1854 - 1905 Elmer A. Brewster was born in Parkman, December 28, 1854, and died in Dexter, August 24, 1905. When he was twenty-one he came to Dexter and engaged in the meat business. Later he formed a partnership with his brother to carry on a wholesale and retail grocery business under the firm name of W. E. Brewster & Company. He married Grace A. Gilman and they had three children, George, Hugh and Clara. After a number of years Mr. Brewster severed his connection with the grocery firm and established the Brewster Drug store. Besides the local Masonic bodies, he was a member of St. John's Commandery and was a noble of Kora Temple. He was a D. D. G. M. for two years. In politics he was a Republican and represented his district in the State Legislature.
