MRS. CHARLES DUSTIN. DEXTER — Frances E. Dustin, widow of Charles Dustin, died Aug. 18 at her home in Dexter. She was born in Eureka, Calif., daughter of George and Josephine (Foley) Gillette. She was a member of the First Universalist Church in Dexter, the Ladies Aid, Boneka Club, Rebecca Western Chapter of the DAR, and Wassookeag Chapter No, 44, OES. She was secretary to the late Owen Brewster when he was governor of Maine and his administrative assistant while hewas U.S. Senator from Maine. She was the • first lady to walk upon the U.S. Senate floor while it was in session. Since her retirement she had resided in Dexter. She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Eben Whitconib of Ellsworth, a niece, and a nephew. A funeral service will be held at the Crosby Funeral Home in Dexter at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Friends may call Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter. Friends wishing may make donations to the First Universalist Church orto the Heart Fund.
