Obituary	MRS. MARY ELLEN SMITH DEXTER — Mrs. Mary Ellen Smith, 71, died Friday, June 22, 1979, at a local hospital after a long illness. She was born In Dexter March 6, 1908, the daughter of Jerre and Clara (Como) Ganeou. She was a communicant of St. Anne’s Catholic Church, and was a retail clerk for many years before her retirement. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Clara Ganecu of Dexter; her husband Harry of Dexter; ne brother, William of Columbia, S.C.; three sisters, Mrs. Rose Moroncie of Dexter, Mrs. Rita Lamb of Trenton, Mich., and Mrs. Madeline Forbes of Bath; several step - children, nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated In St. Anne’s Catholic Church Monday at 10 a.m. Friends may call at the Crosby Funeral Home, 238 Main St., Dexter, Saturday from 7to9p.m. and Sunday from 2to 4 and 7io 9p.m. Prayers will be said Sunday at 7 p.m. Friends who wish may contribute to the American Cancer Society, Moine Chapter, in her memory.
