Edgar M. Page Funeral servicee were held Wednesday afternoon at he Methodist Church for Edgar 34. ‘Page, • 48, who died Sunday night at his home on the Corinna road after a prolonged Illness. TJie Rev. Hartwell Daley officiated and interment was at Mount Pleasant cemctery. The following fellow-members 1 of the Post Office staff, ‘who were associated with Mr. Page for many Years, were bearers: Er win Chandler, E,lwin Farnham, Merle Knox, Ralph Lowell, James Morrison and Westley Richards. Born In Dexter, July 3, 1906, son of the late Frank B. and Laura (Howell) Page, he was a lifelong resident of this town and had been employed at the Dexter Post Office for nearly 30 years. Originally appointed in the postal service Dec. 20, 1924, he started as a sub-carrier and sub-clerk. On Aug. 1, 1936, he was made a rgular clerk and served in that capacity until March 31, I954, when he was granted disa’bility retirement. He is survived by his wife, Miri iam; one son, Edgar Millard Page; three brothers, Frank H. of ithaca, N. Y, Eben and Manford, both of Dexter; three sisters, Miss Estelle El Page, Machias, Mrs. Ger aldine ;Bess, Ft. ‘Sill, Okla., and Mrs. Gertrude Comeau ‘of Skowh gani; several aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.
