Obituary
MRS. EDITH WESTGATE Mrs. Edith Westgate, 67, died at the local hospital after two months' illness. Rebekah funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p. m. at the Methodist Church with the Rev. Hartwell Daley officiating. Bearers will be Linwood Seavey, Charles G. Chandler, Galen Wentworth and Floyd Hammond, all of Dexter. Interment will be in Pleasant cemetery. Friends may call at the Crosby Funeral Home. Mrs. Westgate was born in Boston, Mass., June 22, 1887, daughter of William and Caroline Huckins. The widow of Guy F. Westgate, who died in 1941, she lived the greater part of her life in this town. She was a member of the Dexter Methodist Church, past noble grand of Martha Washington Rebekah Lodge; past district deputy president, District 19; past president Ladies' Auxiliary, Patriarchs Militant; a member of Dexter Grange and the Elizabeth Towle Guild of the First Baptist Church. She is survived by one son, Harry, of Dexter; two daughters, Mrs. Katherine Sawtelle, of Corinna; and Mrs. Edith Eaton of Framingham, Mass.; one sister, Mrs. Etta Sanderson of Malden, Mass.; 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, two nephews, and cousins.
