Mrs. Eva Puffer Mrs. Eva Puffer, wife of Alton M. Puffer, died Friday at her home on the Ridge Road, from a heart ailment, Though in poor health for some time she was confined to her bed only one day. Funeral services were held from the home Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock, the Rev. J. Kenneth Halliday officiating. Burial was at Corinna Center cemetery. There were many beautiful flowers. Bearers were four nephews, Leslie, Ivan, Arland and Lee Frost. Among those from out of town called here, by Mrs. Puffer’s death were her son, Darrol Burton of Vas.alboro; her granddanghter,”Mrs. Grover Field of Virginia, and Cpl. Field from New Jersey, and Howard Percival of Skowhegan. Mrs. Percival has been at the Puffer home helping to care for Mrs. Puffer and will remain for a time. Mrs. Puffer was born in Ripley August 6, 1874, the daughter of Martha and Albert Frost, but lived the greater part of her lifetime in Dexter. She was a member of Dexter Grange, P. of H She leaves besides her husband and on, several grandchildren and great grandthildren, and two brothers, Herbert and Winuield Frost.
