Watson K. Springer Watson K. Springer, 75, passed away at his home in Hancock Sunday. He was born in Hancock,, the son of Luther H. and Sarah Marshall Springer. In his early life he spent five years in the West. afterwards return-’ ing to Hancock where he engaged n farming. From 1914 to 1923 he operated a dry goods store in Dexter in the building now occupied by L. B. Gordon. In :L927 he erected the Blue Spruce cabins in Hancock and operated them as tourist homes until the jtime of his death. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Susanne McFarland Springer; one sister, Mrs. Mleo1m H. Googins of Hudson Mass.; two brothers, David W. Springer of Hancock and Leslie A. Springer of Kingston, lass. Funeral services were conducted at the home in North Hancock Wednesday afternoon and burial was at the McFar1and Hill cemetery.
