EARL R.SAVAGE DEXTER — Earl R. Savage, 54, accidentaly drowned Sept.26 at Burnham Pond in Big Squaw Township. He was born at Fort Kent, Sept. 16, 1916, the son of Nathanieil and Elizabeth (Savage) Savage, He came to Dexter in 1939 for a National Youth Administration project, and later worked in the foundry of the Fay and Scott Machine Shop as a moulder. At the time of his death, be was superintendent of the found. ry. Savage was also associated with the Abbott Realty Co. in Dexter, and was a member of St. Ann’s Church and the Dcxter Fish and Game Association. Surviving are his widow, Anita, and six children, Mrs. David (Bonnie) Hartford of Boxboro, Mass., Mrs. Dannel (Donna) Starbird of Narragansett, RI., ‘Richard of California, and Mary Eilen Robert and Judith Savage, all at home; three sisters, Mrs. Florence Ryan of Bristol, Conn., Mrs. Thelma Dow of Presque Isle and Mrs. Hazel Parker of Dover-Foxcroft. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday at 9 a.m. in St. Ann’s Church with the Rev. Lionel J, McKeone officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call at the Crosby Funeral HQme Monday and Tuesday afternoon and evening.
