Obituary	MRS. KATE MAY HIGGINS Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at the Crosby Funeral Home for Mrs. Kate May Higgins, 67, who died Sunday at the Plummer Memorial Hospital after a long illness. The Rev. A. Allan Brough of the First Baptist Church officiated. Burial was in the Pingree cemetery, Parkman. She was born in Brownville, May 6, 1887, daughter of Austin and Flora (Ramsdell) Smart. She is survived by her husband, Ernest Higgins of Ellsworth; a daughter, Mrs. Lillian Richards, Dexter; a son, Derward Farnham, Southington, Mass.; five sisters, Miss Edna Smart, Mrs. Alvie Stewart, Mrs. Doris Kelley, Miss Ora Smart and Miss Mildred Smart, all of Cambridge, Mass.; two brothers, Earl Smart, Milo, and Percy Smart, of Corinna; 17 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
